Principle of operation:
PoE-switch HongRui HR901-AFG-41 is designed to build data networks of small and medium scale. Thanks to the support of PoE technology, the switch is an ideal solution when introducing IP video surveillance systems in offices, private houses, apartments, allowing you to power up to 5 installed cameras using the same cable through which the data stream is transmitted. This allows you to simplify the installation process and save on laying power cables.
For the switch to work, there is no need to make any additional settings. It is enough to connect the device to the power supply, and it is ready to work.
Connection to the switch devices entering the network is carried out via a twisted pair cable. It is recommended to use an Ethernet cable of category 5 and better.
The switch automatically detects support for PoE technology and the class of the plug-in, as well as the speed of the device over the network. The switch has the ability to use the flow control function. It is needed to regulate the transmission of signals depending on the bandwidth and load of the network port. A large concentration of traffic on the network port can cause a drop in its bandwidth and overload of buffer memory, which causes packets to be discarded and network frames are lost. To prevent this from happening, the switch uses flow control according to the IEEE802.3x standard in duplex mode (full duplex) and flow control by the Back pressure method in half-duplex mode (half duplex). Flow control in duplex mode involves sending a pause signal to the transmitting port, which allows you to suspend transmission if the load is too high on the receiving port (if the buffer overflows on the receiving port). In semi-duplex mode, a collision signal is sent to the transmitting port (imitation of the collision state), due to which the transmitting port stops the transmission for some time, which unloads the receiving port.
The maximum power produced by one PoE port is 15.4 W or 30 W. This is usually enough to power even energy-intensive PTZ cameras or cameras with powerful long-range lighting.
The switch is designed for networks of small, medium and large scale, which require reliable and fast solutions with automated functions, the implementation of which does not take much time and does not require significant investments.
